Plan Your Visit
The Belle Museum is located at 322. E. Main St., Charleston, Arkansas (northwest corner of East Main and Greenwood Street). We are open
every Saturday from 10:00am until 1:00pm.
We are also happy to schedule private tours for individuals or groups upon request. See contact information below.

Reserve the Chapel Space
The Belle Museum Chapel is available for private events. It is a wonderful venue, perfect for
religious services, political and community gatherings, educational presentations, and
musical performances. The space can accommodate up to 150 people, has wonderful
acoustics, and a built-in sound system. There are also plans to add a digital display system at some point in the near future.

Genealogical Research
The Belle Museum houses a collection of local family histories that is open to the public. Additionally, there are publications available providing information on the area's cemeteries, county probate records, and original homestead ownership. There is also a digital archive of local historical images and documents.

Preserving Oral Histories
The Belle Museum has partnered with the Arkansas River Valley Regional Library System in collecting oral histories of our area.

Scanning Service
Upon request, the Belle Museum will scan your old photos and documents at no charge to you. Our only requirement is that we are able to
retain copies of the scans for our archives. This is a great way to not only preserve your family's treasured memories, but to insure that they
become part of the community's shared history.
The curator is a retired imaging specialist with 50+ years experience in the printing industry.
